Each of our wooden products are finished with three layers of nontoxic sealant to prevent warping and deterioration. Keeping that in mind, wood is a delicate surface that can be easily destroyed if not taken care of properly. The following tips will ensure your beautiful new piece remains beautiful for a long time to come.
1. Avoid getting hair-care products, perfume, or any other solvent based products directly on the wood jewelry, as this may ruin the finish.
2. Avoid submerging the wood products in water, our treated pieces can handle a little water, but we don't recommend taking them for a swim, bathing or showering with your new piece, or washing it submerged in water.
3. Avoid rough handling and storage. This is especially important for hand-painted pieces as this may cause the paint to chip
Each of our products will have it's own unique look due to the varied markings of each piece of wood and the fact that each piece is hand-painted or stained. Colors may vary slightly. This however is part of the natural beauty of hand-crafted artisan . ★★☆☆★★

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
Many of our items can be customized or personalized. However, many pieces cannot be stamped on the back so please contact us first to find out before making your purchase.
Does the 1-2 week processing time include shipping?
The answer is no. It current takes us 1-2 to weeks (usually 1) to process our orders. Delivery time depends on your method of delivery. Please be sure to choose accordingly. Priority shipping does now speed up production time.
Care instructions
These hand-stamped pieces are not made of traditional metals and are very delicate...therefore they should never be soaked in jewelry cleaning solutions. If you feel the need to bring the shine back to your pieces; purchase a simple polishing pad with polish already built in. I recommend Pro Polish Pads.
Over time, you may find that your hand-stamped jewelry has begun to form small hairline scratches from the different pieces rubbing together. If this should happen; you can take the scratches out in 30 seconds by using #00 grit steel wool (found in Walmart or any hardware store with the sandpaper) and lightly sanding the surface in one direction. It won't take much. Then, lightly polish with your jewelry polish pad to bring the shine back.
Do you use a laser engraver to make your jewelry?
No. All of our jewelry is stamped, sanded, burnished, oxidized, polished and assembled completely by hand. right here in our home. No machines! :) Therefore the letters will not always be perfectly aligned and letter depths may vary. This however is part of the natural beauty of hand-stamped artisan jewelry.
Do you provide a tracking number and insurance coverage?
Yes and yes. All of our items are insured and shipped with a tracking number for your convenience. Once the item is marked "accepted" at the post office we cannot be held responsible for it. Please be aware of when your package is scheduled to be delivered and make sure someone is there to receive it. The Craft Mill is not responsible for stolen items left on door steps or inside mailboxes.
PLEASE be sure to double check your shipping address when entering your information. The Craft Mill will not be held responsible for packages delivered to the wrong address. We will only take care of lost or damaged packages due to packaging or a shop error. Once the item is marked "delivered" The Craft Mill cannot be held responsible.
